Spring Snow and Hummingbird-ish Birds

Finally an update! I opted for hummingbird-ish birds...I also added a necklace and flower "crown" and I tried to correct some of the anatomy issues.

I can't believe it is snowing outside. Just when I'm thinking spring has started. I know winter isn't officially over yet, but still.

In other news, I'm getting very close to starting on my next book cover. At the moment, the author, publisher, and I are in the "bouncing" ideas phase. Next up: thumbnail sketches.

Up in the Clouds

Much better feeling head this evening. So, I worked further on this potential website background/personal piece as I listened to more of my next manuscript to illustrate. I must say it is an enjoyable story. It's always a good sign when I can forget about the "computer" voice doing the reading and just dwell on the narrative. Another day or so and I'll probably be ready to start coming up with cover ideas for that one.

Nearing the End

I did a lot of little things today. I get the feeling this image is close to finished. Many of the new additions such as the sparkles, tiny flowers in the grass, and pattern on the fabric, were just neat things I decided to try out (we shall see what the client thinks).
