Princess and the Goblin - Painting I

Working on the "long part" of the Princess and the Goblin illustration now... =) Still not sure I've got her face the way I want it.

(On a random note: today is my birthday.=)

This is a lovely illustration--is it part of a series? One comment, though -- you don't have the spinning wheel quite right. A small wheel like that (usually called a Saxony wheel) would have a foot treadle at the bottom to power the wheel and drive band. You seem to have a sort of shelf near the bottom of the wheel, but it doesn't have a shaft connecting it to the wheel, so the wheel would have no way to power its turning (and wheels of that kind aren't turned by hand).
I hope you make more MacDonald illustrations in the future -- your sense of color captures the mood of the stories quite beautifully.
